raison familiale.

Chad Owens, expected to be the team’s primary return-specialist, according to head coach Marc Trestman, left the team for personal reasons. Although the door’s open for him to return, that seems unlikely

Voici l'explication selon Coach

He's from Hawai... That's almost 20hours to get home and for the money he'd make here. I can see that would be tough, just weird he hung in there for two years , gets a starter's job and quits...kind of sad, all that hard work for nothing.

2 before TC everybody (media + plus fans) were talking about Andrew Hawkins...I know he's still injured but have forgot about him yet? This guy was supposed to be our next raising star?

Maybe that's part of the equation too...what about Maypray ...Calvillo was all about him after the game..Withaker? Or maybe DJ Boldin he's having a good camp or not?

Owens mind you was okay but I think it's too early to panic he played what 3 half of football with this team.. plus LT may come back...so nothing to be worried on.

We should all be concerned about Kick/punt coverage and D against the run... those aspect were pathetic in both preseason games.

Jim is no fool. Sure looks like weird stuff going on. Let's hope he didn't get his mitts on Trestman's 2010 playbook before leaving...

He has, but not the entire book :) heck the guy has been here 3 years IIRC, so he does know it.

Traded to Toronto for a 4th round 2011 draft pick
http://en.montrealalouettes.com/article ... -2011-pick

Montreal, June 24, 2010 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that the team has acquired the Toronto Argonauts' fourth round pick in the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft in exchange for import receiver Chad Owens.

Owens joined the Alouettes' practice roster last July and played in the last game of the season in Toronto.

Same old Barker... Well at least we managed to get a draft pick out of the prick. A fourth rounder from the Argos is like a 3rd round Als pick :P

With Lemon as QB, you are quite correct that 4th rounder will be better than usual.
