MONTREAL -- Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp and Head Coach Marc Trestman announced today the Alouettes' 2010 coaching staff.

Returning from the 2009 Grey Cup Champion staff are Defensive Coordinator & Defensive Backs Coach Tim Burke; Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach & Assistant Head Coach Scott Milanovich ; Running Backs & Assistant Offensive Line Coach Andy Bischoff; Receivers Coach Marcus Brady; Defensive Assistant & Football Operations Assistant Jean-Marc Edme; Offensive Line Coach Jonathan Himebauch; Defensive Line Coach Mike Sinclair; and Linebackers Coach Tim Tibesar.

New Special Teams Coordinator Richard Kent will replace the departing Scott Squires.

Coaches are crafty folks.
My "Playbook Pick of Trestmans Grail" would half to be the Aug 7th game VS the Argo's. Our defense shut them out 25-0.
That game the defense played like true champs to be.However there was one play that stuck out that game.
McPherson comes in so everyone thinks it's a QB sneak. Suprise!!! Arial attack.
The Al's sneak big Eric Wilson on the O-line. He makes a block, then does a delayed out pattern and snaggs the catch for a TD.

Not sure who called the play, co-ordinated it, sidelined it in or thought of it at practice but damn that was sweet.
Clearly someone noticed Wilson has hands to go along with his size.
Clearly someone hatched an idea at practice.

I think it's pretty cool to see how one play can showcase all the co-ordinators/coaches ideas and observations at once.
Thought it was really cool to see their faith in a D-lineman to go out and get an offensive touchdown.
That being said, I'm confident in the teams decision makers. It's nice to know the players are in good hands.
So I thought I'd share something random yet relevant from last season.
Cheers all and have a great weekend.
If it's too loud, your too old!

Absolutely right...

I have that game on DVD and it's always cool to see a "big guy" scoring a TD !

They do all the work in the trenches and I assume a TD for them is more than just icing on the cake.

Man we need more post like this from you here !
