Aggrandissement: c'est parti!

Postby sunkiss20 » 05 Mar 2009 22:58

C'est ce qu'annonce radio-canada sur son site internet!
http://www.radio-canada.ca/sports/footb ... ment.shtml

From the Gazette story: Most of the new seats — about 3,800 — will come on the south side, where 11 rows will disappear to facilitate the construction of a second tier. A section will be added in the northeast corner. And there’ll be some 1,500 permanent seats in the east end zone, replacing temporary bleachers. The stadium’s video board will be moved slightly.

Um, what does that mean for Section W and season ticket holders like me (2nd to last row)? Will we be "upgraded" to the new upper deck?

Coût du projet: 29 355 000 $

Financement:
Gouvernement du Québec: 19 331 065 $
Ville de Montréal: 4 000 000 $
Robert Wetenhall: 6 023 935 $
Total: 29 355 000 $

Question: il est où le montant que j'ai dépensé pour acheter une brique?

Received this e-mail to my question about the South stands demolition and relocation:

When information will become available, The Montreal Alouettes will contact every customer whose seats will have to be relocated to make place for the new structure during the implementation of the Phase II Expansion of the Percival-Molson Stadium. Each of these relocations will be processed in a priority mode.

Reppact, I'm about 6 seats to your left...

I guarantee you, that we will end up/they will offer us seats where section Z currently is (end of end zone..20 yards back)..mark my words...

Unless we want to be relocated to the 2nd level....

I would see you guys all on 2nd level...first 5 rows at line 40-45 with your Section W banner hanging by new railing.

Who would want to sit in front of Corporate boxes, when they don't even watch the game but still complain when you are too loud..(I experienced that in Ottawa)....

Moi ce qui me déplait royalement c'est que le fédéral c'est désangagé de ce projet malgré ces supposés milliards d'infrastucture annoncé au dernier buget.Ils seront pourtant du projet annoncé à Ottawa.

There is no WAY i'D move back to Section Z. I was there for my first 2 seasons at Molson. Much happier in Y. I've been a season ticket holder since 1997, and I will surly make a STINK if I am offered that downgrade.

Construction @ Molson... now?

Postby reppact » 13 Mar 2009 15:29

I went by Molson Stadium today at lunch. I was looking to see what rows were scheduled for demolition for the new upper deck. When I got there, this is what I saw at the entrance for the South stands:
Image
I went around to the entrance where the video board is, and the South Concourse was completely closed. There were small front loaders in the concourse. Anyone know what could be going on until May 31?
I thought of calling, but wanted to pose the question here first.

I think they will be working on the added section in the north stands and the end zone seats.nothing for the south side this year other than maybe some prep work.

I received some informations regarding phase 1...construction of north stands are on their way... the north stands and maybe permanant east stand could be done for the opening of 2009 season...but all this depend of the weather.

south stands will be in phase 2 (construction is scheduled for 2010)

I heard that Season tickets holder will have the first choice for relocation once the expension will be completed.

Pure speculation on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised if our Section Y (silver) is "upgraded" to a Gold section which will equal more $$$ to put up for the same tickets....

That why I say that if we want to keep the same "prices" will have to move 20 yards back....

Same thing happened when Habs went from Forum to Bell Centre....all the sections were "re-vamped"....

But this is just pure speculation on my behalf !

I went by Molson again today to try and see what rows would be demolished on the South side. If my count is right, Rows 25-14 will be demolished. That is of course if the "info" of 11 rows is correct.

And I wouldn't mind being row 1 or 2 in the new upper deck.

UPDATE: It would be rows 26-16 that would be demolished. My row, 15 would be in the last row of the old lower deck.
