New look of Website

Postby Lillikins » 22 Feb 2011 14:30

Wow! I love the new website :bravo: Very professional. Looks like someone might have to quit their daytime job to keep this up :) Honestly this is the best site to get Alouettes info. I would propose that you approach as many players as you can during the season and encourage them to post their public "activities" here since they're out there in the community but we don't always hear about it. For example, this Saturday, they were at Old Port skating(Bowman,Stewart,Ferri,Brodeur-Joudain...) Had I heard about it I would have braved the cold and put on skates(even after a 15 year hiatus!)to skate with the Als. Goes back to the discussion a while agao about the Als disappearing in the winter. Let's keep them visible :) and keep up the good work.

Good point, i think you have a bit more contact with the players, have them post the info in the forums here. And thanks for the good words.

I'll pass the word as much as I can on my end, but as you can see, sometimes, I'm also "out of the loop" :) Unfortunately, I don't "tweet" so I'll really on "word of mouth"

All the kudos goes to SectionU2.

He did the research for the new page template, been handling all the programming/backend of it...

Eventually me & reppact will be able to jump in to create/edit/modify/add the content, but for now, SectionU2 is the 1 man band ! :)

:3bang:

When will the Als get with it? This is ANOTHER missed opportunity for the Als to promote the team/players in the community. Their website is USELESS for non-season related info.

Wow just read it in the news, after the fact, the event was held by one if the ALS sponsor BMO, and the ALS did not provide any PR? Or did I miss something? Man whoever us named prez will have work to do.

I'm going to log my columns on the ALs' site under "season related info" so I can feel better about myself then. ;)
