Maypray to the practise roster

Finally, Tim Maypray has been put on the practice roster in a surprising move. That leaves Perry Floyd with the team’s kick-return job.

You forgot an important part of the article:

The Als already are missing three concussed players, two more of whom, Shea Emry and Tad Crawford, were placed on the nine-game injured list on Wednesday. They join Etienne Boulay, who has been on the list for several weeks. Because both Emry and Crawford went on the list after the season’s ninth game, one would be eligible to return prematurely.

Ouch....wonder when & if Boulay & Emry will be back to full form.....

*****************************

And it sounds like Maypray didn't take the demotion well. From his Twitter (@iMayPray3):

Welp montreal its been real.. Home tomorrow

Long day of packing

Still no official word from the team, but I wonder if he asked for/got his release if he wasn't going to get playing time.

Even if he left I think the Als are still on the hook for his salary....

Remember, if your cut after a specific date, (I don't remember how many years or game to have your salary" guaranteed")

In his case, he might still be on payroll....

If he got to the guaranteed date yes, but I think the move was made to avoid it, on the pr he would not have gotten it.
