Many thought it was a foregone conclusion the Alouettes would be losing receiver S.J. Green to the NFL.

Instead, the potential free-agent told Als Inside/Out on Wednesday he has re-signed with Montreal for two years and an option.

The 6-foot-2, 216-pound Green had workouts this winter with Buffalo, Minnesota and Philadelphia. The Eagles, he said, made him an offer that included a signing bonus – which usually indicates a team’s interest in a prospect.

And yet, Green said remaining with Montreal provides him with the best fit.

The 25-year-old caught 58 passes for 875 yards last season. He led all Montreal receivers, with 10 touchdowns. All the totals were career highs for Green, who will be entering his fifth season with the Als.

Green est en pente ascendante, je ne pense pas que l'on a encore vu, ce qu'il est capable, et ai-je bien lu il a 25ans?

Il sera du même calibre que Richardson! J'avais vraiment peur qu'il quitte pour la NFL! C'est la preuve que la chimie dans cette équipe doit être assez incroyable.

J'ai toujours aimé, comme tout l'monde, Ben Cahoon. Cependant, il ne vaut plus le salaire qu'il a sans doute reçu la saison dernière. Il devait sûrement être dans les plus hauts salariés de l'équipe non? Son départ libérera des $$ pour signer Cobourne et Calvillo. Je n'ai jamais été un grand adepte de lui, mais je lui lève très haut mon chapeau car avec tout ce qu'il a vécu, il aurait pu abandonner. Au lieu de baisser les bras, il a élevé son jeu d'un cran et aura permis aux Alouettes de gagner la Coupe à deux reprises. J'avais entendu une entrevue qu'il avait donnée à Sonia Benezra et j'ai bien aimé ce que j'ai entendu de sa part.

Bravo à Popp! J'ai déjà hâte au mois de mai!

Labinjo est retourné à Calgary et Lambert a été libéré! Brodeur-Jourdain a pris du gallon. On vient de sauver des $$ là aussi!

Wow ça bouge, Lambert libéré, étrangement cela ne me surprend pas. Et je comprend son amertume, les départs dans la LCF ne sont pas toujours facile. Je lui souhaite bonne chance.
