Well oh well.... Selon la Presse Desrivaux poursuit Carter en justice pour 15 000 $ pour fraude ou quelque chose du genre... il parait que Carter aurait inciter quelques joueurs à investir de l'argent dans son entreprise et que l'argent est disparue.

Ça va ben mal avec nos Alouettes.... pas juste sur le terrain...

J'espère que c'est juste une rumeur...Qu'est-ce qui nous fallait! Quand ça va bien, ça va bien! Car si ce n'est pas le cas, c'est bien dommage pour Kerry mais qu'il aille faire son charlatan ailleurs!!! Faut regler la distraction le plus rapidement possible! Si c'est vrai, quelle honte d'escroquer ses propre co-équipiers.

Il ne serait pas le premier a faite cela a un coéquipier, un gars de Calgary il y a 2 ans a été en court, mais c'etais des ex joueur. Comme tu dit, si prouver ce gars n'a plus de place dans le vestiaire.

Alouette fullback/tight end Kerry Carter is not commenting on allegations he's defrauded teammate Danny Desriveaux out of a $15,000 investment.

Carter is active on twitter through a profile name that includes the name Ocei--- the same name as an investment company linked to the case---but declined to comment for CJAD 800 in advance of tonite's Alouettes-Eskimos game.

A published report links the company OCEI Enterprises to a house in Brampton, Ontario and a man named Sharif Musah. Musah refused to confirm how long he has known Carter, a former NFL Seahawk and Redskin raised in the Toronto area.

In the late 90's an Alouette linebacker named Rashaan Giddings, of Greenfield Park, had been accused of bilking several teammates of several thousands of dollars.

Even in the '70s when the Als were annually battling the Eskimos for Grey Cup glory and bonus money, a player was suspected of cheating at cards to steal from his teammates.

Desriveaux allegedly invested after winning the 2009 Grey Cup. He delayed civil court action last year to prevent the case from becoming a possible distraction during the Als' historic run to the franchise-first Repeat Grey Cup win.

Comme si on avait besoin de cette distraction de plus dans l'équipe !

Yesterday at the tailgate, someone asked me if I heard anything on this topic,

today reading Herb Z, ALS Inside Out news, I found this:

He’s not providing details, but Kerry Carter has informed Als Inside/Out his personal matter with teammate Danny Desriveaux has been resolved. Apparently the two reached some kind of agreement or settlement.

Desriveaux recently filed a $15,000 civil suit against Carter, who invested in the latter’s company, OCEI Enterprises. Desriveaux alleged Carter acted “fraudulently” and “misleading,” encouraging him to invest the money, which never has been recovered

I had a feeling this was something that was blown way out of proportion. Kerry's a good dude and it would really shock me to hear of any sort of underhanded activity on his part being legit.

C'est un peu mon impression aussi. Dans ses propos, Desriveaux n'a jamais prétendu que Carter l'avait floué, mais plutôt que le projet qu'il pilotait ne se concrétisait pas. Ce faisant, Desriveaux n'accusait pas Carter de vouloir le voler mais de ne pas vouloir lui rendre son argent. Le fait que cette histoire se soit rendue sur la place publique est peut-être malheureux, mais a certainement contribué à ce qu'elle se règle honorablement et rapidement.

En fin de compte, ça n'aura pas nui à l'équipe puisque les Alouettes ont cumulé leur meilleure séquence de la saison à partir du moment où cette histoire a sorti dans les média. En tout cas, elle ne pouvait se régler à un meilleur moment!
