Canadian Born players on NCAA 2011 Bowl game teams (updated)

Postby Chuggabunch » 14 Dec 2011 00:40

This is a list of Canadian born players in NCAA 2011 bowl games that I compiled & put together. This took some time to figure out the best I could, so I hope you all enjoy the info and share with other fans of 3 downs.
Only a handful of our players will see action at their teams bowl games, but we might well see them in the CFL soon.
Feel free to correct, adjust and add should you feel fit.

Oh yeah, there's no way their bowl games will top our 2011 Vanier Cup! Double overtime, back and forth. :yikes:

Allen Champagne is a d-end for the Tar Heels of North Carolina, they'll play in the Independance Bowl against Mizzou!

And let's not forget that Phillip Blake is also property of the Alouettes. Dunno if letting a Heisman winner put his hands between your legs will translate to an NFL/CFL career of note, but still worth mentioning.

If Blake does come up north, he'll have a fellow Baylor Bear to show him the ropes in Brandon Whitaker. But would he replace Luc Brodeur-Jordain as center or move down along the line?

Or better yet, use him as trade bait?

Just when I think the list is completed and updated, there is yet another bowl game that's announced. How many do they need!
Trestman & Popp must be exhausted from all this. I guess that's what it takes to find a diamond in the ruff.
