Pretty sure he wont be back, he was in his option year in 2010, so he would have become a FA in Feb 2011.

Best of luck to him....

Seriously who really care it's not like we miss some good receiver... rather keep Green than Hawkins...

I dunno I do, I truly believed he would/will be a star one day. Circumstances just didn't work in his favour, and his broken ankle came at a horrible time.

With Hawkins gone, this makes for a great opportunity for Whitaker. He didn't get to play much cause he's behind Cobourne on the depth chart. When he played in pre-season and a couple of games this season & last, I thought he did a good job and hope he gets another shot. If not, I'd hate to see him leave but to put a player like that on the shelf for a third year would get very frustrating for any athlete.
Put him in coach!

Would love nothing more than to see Whitaker succeed! Ask Calgary, having Canadian RB's is so great for the ratio, and I just feel better in general cheering on Canadian boys haha.

Ottawa... don't get me wrong here the guy has talent...but I don't think is the kind of body als really need... With Bratton, Watkins ahead on the roster Hawkins become expendable... plus we haven't seen much of what Maypray can do offensively..

What made Hawkings good was is ability to quick & brutal route explosion now with a broken ankle that seemed to fade a bit ... the guy was just not the same...

Euh...
