I'll be honest, I'm disappointed the Als aren't using their You Tube channel more, and they have 2 of 'em:
http://www.youtube.com/user/AlouettesdeMontrealhttp://www.youtube.com/user/AlouettesMobileThey could put everything on You Tube & even get paid for it by clicks for their own footage, fans could add a Favorite to it & it will "share it " on their channel also, which would create more visibility....creates less bandwidth/resources for your own website, etc....
Lalonde was saying in an interview this week they were working more with Social media (which is good to get the new kids in), but by having videos split into 2 locations, their own website & You Tube, it's not efficient IMHO.
if you check the Cahoon tribute on Als site (
http://en.montrealalouettes.com/video/index/id/20099), heck the video is in 3x4 format...I'm not talking about the game footage, I'm talking about the presentation itself with Cahoon & his family on the stage...
I always see those 2 guys wearing yellow bib written Alouettes in their back, carrying the camera & making game shots...I'm sure the camera can do 16x9 (HD) .....heck even my iPhone can film in 16x9 in HD....
I'll give them benefit of the doubt (new org), but the Concordia Arts/Communication student in me is just shaking his head in "amazement".....
