99th Grey Cup - Who you cheering for ? Qui encouragez-vous ?

Postby XGamer » 20 Nov 2011 21:31

99th Grey Cup is Winnipeg vs BC.

Alouettes Fan, who are you cheering for ?

Me, no one ! I'll just enjoy the game like I did in 2007 ! :)

By the way, the winner this year is just keeping it warm for us in 2012 ! ;)

**************************

Every time Winnipeg makes it to the GC I am reminded of why we need to get another franchise into the Eastern Division. Just like 2007 we're stuck with what amounts to an all-Western Grey Cup. At least this time the game will actually be played in a Western venue and the home team is playing so the atmosphere (at least locally) will be good. I suspect that the city will be divided evenly between newly-minted Lions fans and Saskatchewan fans, who look for any reason possible to get out of the prairies, even if only for a weekend.

I'm just curious about what the TV ratings back in Eastern Canada will be for this game. We can't get Ottawa back in the league fast enough, IMO.

I could care less who wins. I guess it would be cool to see Winnipeg win only because it was a rebound season for them. The main reason to cheer for the Bombers is cause it would be funny to see another Vancouver team end up in a championship game and screw it up, again!!! :D
I'm cheering for team SPITE!!!

:lmao:

I just want a neck to neck game! I don't care who wins. Both teams are fun to watch!
Who will perform, who will crack under pressure?

I don't understand some of us HATE teams... I can watch any game, if it's not a blowout, I'll be watching.

Like Laval did at Vanier, came back and made the game very interesting. McMaster's QB is awesome btw.

Plus we have a Grey Cup party! OH YEAH People from P7-1st row-seats 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 !!! Soon Moving to M1 ??

Just goes to show that the Bombers didn't really deserve to be there. If the Als had been able to stay healthy they'd have finished in first place and would have won the East Final. A healthy Alouettes team was the only team in the East capable of giving the Lions a challenge. The score may have not looked lopsided, but the Bombers didn't start scoring until it was too late. The Lions had a comfortable lead for almost the whole game. In the end, all the Bombers could offer was swagger. All sizzle, no steak.
